Creative Climate Network
We're on a mission to inject more creativity into climate campaigning. We know that arts and culture play an ever increasing role in climate and nature campaigning... and that 'Ull folk love a bit o' culture.
We have close relationships with some local climate artists and organsiations - including Hull Culture Declares Emergency - and want to continue supporting the good work that our diverse, local creative green community do.
To help platform these voices and help further our climate campaign aims, we are proud to have established an innovative Creative Climate Network in Hull and East Riding, working with local artist volunteers to help illustrate issues and inspire the crowd.
Artists
Helping to make the tools, design the ideas and deliver the creative workshops that inspire audiences
Photographers
Helping to document the work of our climate community and making content that gives our planet a voice
Performers
Helping to inspire the crowds at community actions, protests and pop-up events to inspire the crowd
Are you are a local creative and willing to volunteer your skills, build your portfolio and help connect to new audiences?
We'd love to hear from you! Leave your details in our online form or email arts@hfoe.org.uk
There may also be paid commission opportunities in future for climate-concerned artists we work with - so get in touch!
We are also continually investigating different funding routes to commission our Creative Climate Network artists to produce high-quality and ambitious work that helps to further our campaigns.
For example, in 2023 we partnered with Rights Community Action and Yorkshire Wildlife Trust to commission local artist Lauren Saunders to co-create a 'Shorelines' public artwork alongside young refugee and asylum seeker children.
